* EDDA = electrically detected displacement assay
With EDDA*, multiplexed DNA analysis can be completed within app. 1 h (20 min. nucleic acid isolation & purification, 30 min. PCR amplification and 5 – 10 min. for microarray hybridisation and read-out). The chip, a microelectrode array, is applied directly to the PCR amplication tube. There is no need for any labelling or washing steps. Based on established manufacturing processes of the semiconductor industry, the chip can be produced as low cost mass product.
Besides the development of tests for the medical diagnostics industry (e.g. DNA subtyping of Human Papilloma Virus, subtyping of mycobacterium tuberculosis etc.) we offer our system technology for your assay development program:
- We offer passive EDDA Chips with 32 test-sites and reader.
- In our latest technology development we were able to integrate our reader electronics directly on the chip. Thus, everything you need to perform multiparametric nucleid acid testing is our active CMOS EDDA Chip. It covers 96 or 384 test-sites.
-If wanted the EDDA chips can be customised with your set of oligonucleotide capture probes.
-Alternatively you can also use our services for customised development of multiparametric nucleid acid testing assays on basis of our proprietary EDDA technology. Please inquire.
